High altitude skiing up to 2650 metres
This sunny,south facing resort is ideal for families. At 1850 metres high and with skiing up to 2,641 metres this high altitude resort has a good snow record. The slopes offer spectacular views to Les Arcs and St Foy, with Val d'Isere, Tignes and La Plagne all a short distance away (and included in an area lift ticket). The resort is one of only two in France with a ski–lift connection over the border to Italy. It shares the Espace San Bernardo with the Aosta Valley resort of La Thuile, together the two areas offer 150km (nearly 100 miles) of linked piste.
Indoor facilities include an ice rink, bowling alley, cinema and a spa. La Rosiere also has several dozen shops, a post office, chemist and medical centre. Outdoor facilities including tobogganing, snowshoe hiking, dog sledding, paragliding and snow kiting.
La Rosiere boasts almost 30 restaurants and bars. Apres Ski is moderatley busy and the bars have good atmosphere. The resort team regularly organise evening entertainment including night skiing and concerts. Dining options are plentiful ranging from the usual creperies and pizzarias to tradtional and specialist restaurants serving local Alsacian cuisine.
