Les Gets is one of the most family orientated ski resorts in the Alps. Originally a farming village, Les Gets history dates back over one thousand years. Although traditional, Les Gets still offers the majority of facilities you would expect to find in a modern ski resort. The main street in the village is pedestrian only five days of the week which adds to the charm and makes it even more family friendly.

Les Gets has two seperate ski areas. One of them (Chauvannes ski area) is linked to the Portes du Solelil ski region (via Mozine) which offers over 400 miles of slopes spread across almost a dozen ski resorts.

Outdoor activites include hiking, ice diving, snowmobiling, night skiing, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, paragliding and dog sledding. Indoor facilities include a bowling alley, ice rink, cinema, health and wellness centres and a beauty spa. You will also enjoy several museums and exhibitions as well as weekly cultural tours which explore Les Gets history. The village offer the usual essential shops as well as boutiques offering local produce and gifts.
