Day 1 London to Rio de Janeiro
You’ll fly overnight to exciting Rio de Janeiro,

Day 2 Rio de Janeiro
Arrive in Rio, the next Olympic city, and transfer to your hotel for a 3 night stay on Copacabana beach.

Day 3 Rio de Janeiro
Full day tour of the city with a local Rio native. Visit the statue of Christ the Redeemer and the bohemian Santa Theresa neighbourhood. Explore the city centre including the modern cathedral and take a lunch at Confiteria Colombo The day end with the cable car up the Sugar Loaf for unforgettable views of the city, bays and beaches.

Day 4 Rio de Janeiro
Today is a free day. Spend time on lively Copacabana beach, or head over to fashionable Ipanema. Carnivores will definitely like to try a Brazilian barbeque at Marius restaurant, or you might like to explore further afield.

Day 5 Rio to Buzios
A few hour’s up the coast from Rio leads to the lovely coastal town of Buzios. Originally settled by European pirates and slave traders, Buzios slowly because a traditional fishing village and still retains most of its charming laid back, typically Brazilian vibe. Scattered around the town and peninsula are over twenty small beaches, numerous bays and countless small islands in the surrounding waters.

Day 6 Buzios
Day at leisure in Buzios. You can take an optional schooner tour around the outlying islands to secluded beaches, relax by the pool and wander around town. Stroll along the Rua das Pedras, the waterfront promenade, complete with inviting bars, relaxed and more formal restaurants, a variety of shops and hear local musicians. The street often holds festivals of music, film or gastronomy. Brigitte Bardot was a visitor to Buzios at the height of her fame and put the town on the map, a statue dedicated to her is found on the street.

Day 7 Buzios
Another free day in Buzios to enjoy the unique Brazilian atmosphere. You might want to visit another part of Brazil, see below for options.
