Costa Cruises is owned by Costa Crociere which, as it's name suggests, is an Italian company based in Genoa. All ships fly the Italian flag and cruise in the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, the Baltic Sea, the Caribbean, Central America, South America, the United Arab Emirates, the Far East and the Indian Ocean. Costa Crociere S.p.A. is part of Carnival Corporation & plc and is also a member of the prestigious 'World's Leading Cruise Lines'.

Cruising Italian Style

Cruising "Italian Style" offers an endless choice of opportunities, both on board ship and ashore. You can have as much freedom as you want on a Costa cruise holiday by tailoring it to suit you. Whether you would prefer the relaxtion of a leisurely morning with breakfast in bed, followed by a day losing yourself in the spa or perhaps, alternatively, a day of culture, exploring your current port of call? The choice is up to you.

What's more, a Costa Cruise also represents great value for money, with so much included in the holiday price. From welcome aboard pizza and ice cream to a wide variety of activities, Italian cooking classes for example.

Spa and well-being

Whether you want to spend an hour, a day or even a whole week dedicated to pampering yourself, you can tailor an individual spa programme onboard. Costa Cruises' highly trained professionals can recommend a single treatment or a combination together with exercise or sporting activity. Treatments are from Steiner, based on natural products including aromatherapy, facials, manicures and Indian massage. The use of the fitness centres are typically included within the cruise price along with the sauna and Turkish bath. Also available are jacuzzis and a choice of seawater filled swimming pools.

Gym and Fitness onboard

The gym onboard every ship is open from 7am to 8pm daily. Featuring the most modern TechnoGym equipment and expert instruction you can tailor an exercise programme to suit you. Personal training and yoga instruction are charged to your onboard account.

Fitness classes and activities include early-riser walks, stretch and tone, "legs, bums and tums" and aerobic dancing, amongst others, allowing you to keep fit in the open air or in the gym. Aqua gym classes are also held in the swimming pools which are free to take part in.

Children's Facilities

Costa Cruises do their upmost to ensure that cruising "e;Italian Style"e; is also great fun for their younger guests! Parents can relax knowing that their children are under the supervision of qualified staff.

Fun @ Sea is the special onboard programme for children. The daily newsletter lists all the normal activities plus special themed dinners. An afternoon snack is also served in a reserved area of the Buffet restaurant. The 'Kids Club' gives 3 to 6 year olds plenty of fun with arts and crafts, story time and a kids own fancy dress party.

THe 'Junior Club' is the perfect hideout for 7 to 12 year olds with treasure hunts, a mini water Olympics competition as welll as junior aerobics and jogging. Teenagers are also catered for with the 'Teen Club' specifically designed for 13 to 17 year olds. Teengagers can enjoy sports and fitness activities, games and tournaments, percussion lessons, micro magic and music at the popular 'Rock Hour' in the disco.

Family cabins are available on most ships which accommodate up to four people. On many of Costa Cruises' ships you'll find a choice of interconnecting cabins for larger family groups.

Dining - Bon Appetitio!

In Italy, dining is always an event, which goes someway to explaining Costa's superb cuisine. The Costa Cruises dining experience offers a pleasant environment, attentive and friendly service, good quality wines to challenge the budding connoisseur and, of course, great food! Guests can enjoy breakfasts and lunches served buffet stlye with fresh pasta, authentic Italian meals and more on offer. You can choose to dine indoors or, if you prefer, al fresco. The main restaurant is the place to meet in a formal setting for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Choose from early or late sitting to enjoy both traditional Italian and international cuisine, often inspired by the places visited.

For the health conscious, the Spa menu offers a delicious courses that are also low in fat, carbohydrate, calories and cholesterol. The Spa menu is available daily in the traditional restaurant during lunch and dinner. Costa Cruises' 24 hour room service means that caesar salads, fresh fruit, made to order sandwiches and tempting desserts are just a phone call away. And what would an Italian style cuisine be without authentic Italian pizza?

The speciality restaurants offer alternative dining, where you can indulge in a sumptuous menu and the exquisite preparation of top chefs, accompanied by fine wines.

Evening Entertainment

Every night after dinner, international artists perform live shows in the elegant onboard theatre. The daily programme will keep you informed of what is on each night. Choose from variety shows, cabaret, a musical spectacular, even aerobics or magicians. Perhaps you would prefer to have a drink with company at one of the many bars or take a romantic, moonlit stroll on deck beneath the stars.

One of the greatest attractions is the casino, with all its temptations. Sparkling and full of lights, it is a space where you can try your luck on the roulette wheel, blackjack tables or slot machines.

The disco is open for you to dance the night away whilst dancers will entertain you with themed evenings to make it even more electrifying.

Cabins

Comfortable, welcoming, well furnished and equipped, each cabin offers all the facilities you would expect to find in a modern hotel room. Every cabin is spacious, light and airy with a pleasant atmosphere which will immediately help you to relax and unwind. All cabins have private bathrooms with shower and wc, air conditioning, a telephone with the ability to make international calls, TV (complete with films, weather information, ship web cams and music channels), a safe and a hairdryer. On the larger of the Costa Cruise ships, many cabins benefit from a private balcony overlooking the sea.

Costa Cruises' complimentary 'breakfast in your cabin' service, is offered to every guest, on every ship and is a great way to start your day. Your room steward, whose name you will find in your cabin. is on hand to take care of your every need. There is also rooom service available 24 hours a day.
