Day 1 : Fly to Saigon

Fly overnight to Saigon.

Day 2 : Arrive & Explore

On arrival you will be met by your expert tour guide and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 3 : Discover Saigon

Sightseeing today includes a visit to Notre Dame Cathedral, the colonial Central Post Office, Reunification Palace and the War Remnants Museum. End the day at Ben Thanh Market before enjoying a Luke Nguyeninspired dinner at Xu Restaurant. (B,L,D)

Day 4 : Mekong Delta Cruise

Travel to Ben Tre and cruise on the Mekong River to explore the Delta, the rice basket of Vietnam. Travel through palm-lined canals on wooden sampans passing stilt houses and fish farms before returning to Saigon via either Vinh Trang Pagoda or a small Cao Dai Temple. (B,L)

Day 5 : Cu Chi Tunnels & Tay Ninh

Head to the Cao Dai Great Temple at Tay Ninh, one of the most striking structures in Asia; then explore the amazing network of Cu Chi Tunnels. Return to Saigon. (B,L)

Day 6 : Journey to Hoi An

Fly to Danang and transfer to the UNESCO town of Hoi An, stopping at the Marble Mountains. That night, dine at the historic and luxurious Ancient Faifo Restaurant (B,L,D)

Day 7 : Walking tour of Hoi An

Start the day with a cruise along the Thu Bon River for a cooking demonstration, where you will learn the secrets of Vietnamese food and the Hoi An way of life. Later, a walking tour of Hoi An will take you to one of its oldest homes, still occupied by descendants of merchants that built it over 200 years ago. Also visit the Japanese Bridge, Hoi An Market and a local Chinese Pagoda. (B,L)

Day 8 : Imperial Citadel, Hue

Travel to Hue via the scenic Hai Van Pass and enjoy a cyclo ride to the Purple Forbidden City and the Imperial Citadel, centerpiece of the Royal Empire. Also visit Thien Mu Pagoda and take a cruise on the Perfume River. Finish the day with a delicious dinner at the beautiful Ancient Hue Restaurant. (B,L,D)

Day 9 : Royal Tombs, fly to Hanoi

Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Royal Tomb of Minh Mang. Later that day, fly to Hanoi, a charming and richly historic city of lakes, parks and shaded boulevards. (B,L)

Day 10 : Discover Hanoi

Sightseeing includes a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Quarter where you will see Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (closed Sep-Dec), Stilt House, One Pillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature – you’ll then take a walking tour of the Old Quarter. In the evening, watch a performance of the famous Water Puppets and dine at the iconic Press Club. (B,L,D)

Day 11 : Halong Bay Junk Cruise

Travel to the UNESCO listed Site of Halong Bay. Enjoy a seafood meal whilst cruising between the nearby islands on board a traditionally designed Junk Boat. Return to Hanoi later in the day. (B,L)

Day 12 : Fly Hanoi to UK

Fly to the UK, arriving home the same or following day. (B)
