Gibraltar colloquially known as The Rock, (or simply 'Gib'), is an overseas territory of the United Kingdom on the southern coast of Spain at the entrance to the Mediterranean Sea. The Moorish Castle dating back to 1333, was one of the largest in the vicinity, some say in Europe, and still seems to dominate the area.
St Michaels Cave
St Michaels Cave An impressive natural grotto used by the Neolithic inhabitants of the Rock. This Gibraltar attraction has been unique and visited since Roman times and during World War II the cave was prepared as an emergency hospital.

The Mediterranian Steps
For those not afraid of walking (and with a head for heights), this is a walk that starts at Jew's Gate bird observatory and winds its way up the east side of the rock to the top. The views are fantastic. If you don't fancy the uphill struggle, you can always get the cable car up and then come down this way.
