Courchevel is one of the most luxurious and upmarket resorts in Europe, attracting the rich and famous including Chelsea FC owner Roman Abramovich who once tried to buy the entire resort! The oringal and highest resort is Courchevel 1850 with four small reosrts beneath it called Courchevel 1650, Courchevel 1550, Courcehvel 1300 and Saint–Bon. These smaller resorts are connected by a bus service and lifts will take you up to Courchevel 1850 where most of the facilities are located. All of the resorts in Courchevel (except Saint–Bon) have direct gondola access to the Three Valleys ski area with 375 miles of linked runs.

Activities & Facilities at Courchevel

Courchevel has a great selection of shops including luxury goods and boutiques. A wide range of spas offer everything from massage and reflexology to local alpine treatments. Other indoor activites include three cinemas, a library, bowling, climbing walls and an ice rink. Outdoor activites include a toboggan run, winter hiking paths, 40 miles of cross country skiing trails, snow rafting, ice climbing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, sleigh rides and paragliding.

There is a wide range of bars, cafes and restaurants scattered across the resorts. However, most of the are concentrated in Courchevel 1850 where the majority of apres ski is based. As you would expect with a luxury resort Courchevel boasts some of the finest restaurants available to skiers including two Michelin starred establishments, the Chabicou and the Bateau Ivre. With over 60 other restaurants to choose from you will be spoilt for choice.
