Days 1 : Fly to Siem Reap

Fly overnight to Siem Reap.

Day 2 : Arrive and Explore

On arrival you will be met by your expert tour guide and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 3 : Tonle Sap

Travel by boat to see the floating villages, schools and restaurants along Tonle Sap. Later, continue to the lesser visited temple of Beng Melea.

Day 4 : Explore Angkor Wat

Rise early to explore the amazing temples of Angkor, starting with the fabulous Ta Prohm. Continue to Angkor Thom, the Bayon, Elephant Terrace, Terrace of the Leper King and the magnificent Angkor Wat.

Day 5 : Discover Phnom Penh

Fly to Phnom Penh and visit the Royal Palace,National Museum and the Silver Pagoda which houses the striking Emerald Buddha.

Day 6 : Fly to Saigon

Visit the Tuol Sleng Museum of Genocidal Crimes and Wat Phnom before flying to Saigon. Visit Ben Thanh Market.

Day 7 : Explore Saigon

Sightseeing today includes a visit to Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, Reunification Palace and the War Remnants Museum.

Day 8 : Mekong Delta Cruise

Travel to Ben Tre and cruise on the Mekong River to explore the delta, the Rice Basket of Vietnam. The area’s rich and fertile lands are perfect for growing rice, coconuts, vegetables and tropical fruits. Enjoy the scenery as we travel through palm-lined canals on wooden sampans passing stilt houses and fish farms before returning to Saigon.

Day 9 : Cu Chi Tunnels & Tay Ninh

Explore the amazing network of Cu Chi Tunnels before travelling to Tay Ninh to attend the noon service at the Cao Dai Temple, one of the most striking structures in Asia. Return to Saigon.

Day 10 : Journey to Hoi An

Fly to Danang and transfer to the UNESCO World Heritage town of Hoi An, stopping at Marble Mountains en-route.

Day 11 : Hoi An Walking Tour

Enjoy a walking tour of Hoi An and visit one of the oldest homes, still occupied by descendants of merchants that built it over 200 years ago. Also visit the Japanese Bridge, Hoi An Market and a local Chinese Pagoda. The afternoon is at leisure.

Day 12 : Imperial Citadel, Hue

Travel to Hue, the former historic capital of Vietnam during the Nguyen Dynasty and enjoy a cyclo ride to the Imperial Citadel. Visit the Forbidden Purple City and Thien Mu Pagoda before taking a boat trip on the Perfume River.

Day 13 : Royal Tombs, fly to Hanoi

Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Royal Tomb of Minh Mang. Later fly to Hanoi, a charming and richly historic city.

Days 14-15 : Halong Bay Junk Cruise

Travel to Halong Bay. Enjoy seafood meals whilst cruising between the nearby islands and stay overnight on board a traditionally designed Junk Boat. Return to Hanoi the following day and see the famous Water Puppets.

Days 16 -17 : Fly Hanoi to UK

Sightseeing includes a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Quarter where you will see Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (closed Sep-Dec), Stilt House, One Pillar Pagoda, and the Temple of Literature – you’ll also take a walking tour of the Old Quarter. Transfer to the airport for an overnight flight home.
