Day 1 Arrival in Las Vegas
Fly to Las Vegas, and on arrival this afternoon pick up your car and take the short drive to your hotel. Las Vegas is everything you expect, with the huge casinos and neon lights that rise out of the desert. You’ll have the evening to visit the casinos and see the action on The Strip.

Day 2 Las Vegas to Grand Canyon/ Flagstaff
Leaving Las Vegas you’ll head out along the open road into Arizona, you might want to stop on the way at the massive Hoover Dam. Arrive later this afternoon at the Grand Canyon. Time permitting you can stop in the National Park for your first breathtaking view of the canyon and perhaps experience the colours of the sunset. There’s no big rush, you have the following day to see this amazing place. The afternoon is at leisure to take in the beautiful scenery, drive up to one of the many viewpoints and admire the superb flora and fauna in this region. You might want to visit the 70 foot high Desert View Watchtower that sits on the highest point on the South Rim and offers one of the best canyon views of the Palisades of the Desert, especially at sunset.

Day 3 Grand Canyon
Today you have a full day at the Grand Canyon. You’re able to park at the visitor centre on the South Rim and experience the extraordinary views, then ride along the rim in the free shuttle buses or walk between the different viewpoints. You might want to take an optional flight over the canyon for an unforgettable experience.

Day 4 Grand Canyon/Flagstaff to Lake Powell
This morning you’ll have more opportunities to enjoy the Grand Canyon. You might want to wake early to watch the sun rise over the canyon. As you leave the Grand Canyon via the east entrance, visit historic Cameron Trading Post and try a Navajo taco. Continue on the short drive to Lake Powell, crossing Glen Canyon Dam for a picture stop before arriving in Lake Powell, the second largest man-made lake in the United States. Time permitting you might want to take the cruise up Antelope Canyon.

Day 5 Lake Powell to Monument Valley
Today is a classic drive through the scenery of the westerns and great American road trips, with the drive into Monument Valley. With the giant monoliths of rock rising vertically out of the desert, Monument Valley is one of the most photographed places in America and a classic image of the West. You can tour parts of it on your own or take a jeep tour to some of the more remote spots.

Day 6 Monument Valley to Moab
It’s another day of breathtaking driving today, as your journey continues along the open roads of America. You may wish to take a side trip to Natural Bridge National Monument before heading to Moab; or continue directly to Moab and begin your sightseeing of Canyonlands and Arches National Parks.

Travel: 180 Miles / 290 Km

Day 7 Moab
Today you have a full day to explore both Canyonlands and Arches National Parks, some of the most awe-inspiring landscapes in North America. This part of Utah is a mecca for adventurers and there are many activities available ranging from hiking and mountain biking to river rafting, boat tours, and off-road adventures.

Day 8 Moab to Capitol Reef
Your journey today takes you to one of America’s newest National Parks, Capitol Reef which is named for the enormous rock ridge that runs through it for more than 150 Kilometres. Several trails and drives provide scenic views of the park and the scenery of this heart of red rock country extends for miles.

Day 9 Capitol Reef to Bryce Canyon
Today you’ll head for one of the gems of America’s national parks, Bryce Canyon. You can drive to several viewpoints on the rim of the canyon and look down on the hundreds of stone pinnacles, called ‘hoodoos’ and take trails down among the pinnacles which appear almost fragile. By staying overnight at Bryce Canyon you can experience the colours change throughout the day and the scenery and soft light at sunset is simply beautiful.

Day 10 Bryce Canyon to Las Vegas
Your journey across the ‘big sky’ landscapes of America continues today as you drive through the Checkerboard Mesa and down toward the impressive Zion Canyon National Park, where you can stop to visit if the feeling takes you. Arrive back in Las Vegas this afternoon, and after your journey through the quiet desert, enjoy the busy sights and sounds of the exciting city.

Travel: 245 Miles / 395 Km

Day 11 Depart Las Vegas
After a morning at your leisure, drop off your car at the airport in time for your return overnight flight.

Day 12 Arrive UK
Morning arrival in the UK
