Rockies and Alaska Grand Discovery

Day 1 London – Calgary – Banff
Titan’s VIP Home Departure Service® transports you from your front door to London Heathrow and your direct scheduled Air Canada flight to Calgary. On arrival your coach will be waiting to transfer you to the beautiful city of Banff, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Your hotel for the next three nights is the Delta Banff Royal Canadian Lodge.

Day 2 Banff – Lake Louise – Banff
Today we discover the surrounding area of Banff with its rugged beauty, unspoiled landscapes, and pristine mountain ranges. Banff National Park was the first in Canada and third in the world when it was created in 1885 after a natural hot springs was discovered. We visit famous Lake Louise, one of the Canadian Rockies most beloved destinations, with turquoise waters sparkling underneath the towering Victoria Glacier. This evening take a stroll down Banff Avenue and soak up the atmosphere of this lovely mountain resort.

Day 3 Banff
A full day to explore Banff at your leisure. Maybe take the gondola ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain for spectacular views and great photo opportunities, take a helicopter ride for a birdseye view of the mountain ranges or take a leisurely cruise on Lake Minnewanka.

Day 4 Banff – Columbia Icefield – Jasper
Today we travel the Icefield Parkway, considered one of the most scenic highways in the world offering ever-changing scenery of waterfalls, emerald lakes, alpine meadows and snow-capped peaks. We make a stop at the Columbia Icefield, on the boundary of the Banff and Jasper National Parks and board an Ice Explorer that has been specially designed for glacier travel (subject to favourable weather conditions). We continue our journey to Jasper and our hotel, the Chateau Jasper.

Day 5 Jasper
We board our coach this morning to discover Jasper National Park with its many iconic landmarks such as Maligne Canyon, the shores of Medicine Lake and one of the most photographed lakes in the world, Maligne Lake. Here you may take an optional cruise to Spirit Island. This evening we enjoy an included dinner with an interpretive talk.

Day 6 Jasper – Sun Peaks
Today we drive through the Rockies, past Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, to the mountain resort of Sun Peaks. This popular ski resort is now a summer playground too and a peaceful overnight stop to enjoy the mountain backdrop. Our hotel for the night is the Delta Sun Peaks.

Day 7 Sun Peaks – Vancouver
An early start today for a long, yet relaxing, journey to Vancouver. On arrival into Vancouver we transfer to our hotel, the Metropolitan Hotel for an overnight stay before we set sail on our journey to Alaska tomorrow our hotel for the night is the Delta Sun Peaks.

Day 8 Vancouver
A leisurely morning before we transfer to Canada Place to board Holland America’s mid-size, luxury ship, the MS Volendam. As well as unforgettable vistas, wildlife viewing opportunities and Alaskan explorations, you will experience gracious service, exquisite dining, elegantly appointed staterooms and art-filled public rooms. We set sail this evening, passing by British Columbia’s rugged coastline.

Day 9 Inside Passage
The fabled Inside Passage is one of the most scenic sea-lanes in the world, and one of the few where deep-draft vessels can sail close to steep mountain walls. Calm and sheltered, this scenic “marine highway” is cut deeply by fjords and passes by dense forests and snow-capped peaks. As we make our way through the Inside Passage keep a watchful eye out for the wildlife including seals, whales and bald eagles.

Day 10 Tracey Arm – Juneau
Today we sail the narrow, 30-mile-long fjord of Tracey Arm, yet another or Alaska’s most dramatic glacier settings. The lush rain forest recedes to reveal a stunning canyon of bare rock. The panorama of 7,000-foot mountain peaks and nearly vertical rock cliffs, waterfalls and icebergs is staggering. At the end of this remarkable waterway are two very active reminders of the Ice Age – the twin Sawyer Glaciers. This afternoon you reach Juneau, the state capital of Alaska and the gateway to the Tongrass National Forest (weather permitting).

Day 11 Skagway
A breakfast arrival into Skagway, the starting point for the famed Chilkoot Trail. This compact town still remains rich in gold history and character with its boardwalks, pebble streets and many original buildings.

Day 12 Glacier Bay National Park
We awake to the unforgettable scenery of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Glacier Bay National Park. Glacier Bay has more actively calving tidewater glaciers than anywhere else in the world and is home to huge icebergs and an abundant of birds and wildlife. We depart late afternoon for Ketchikan.

Day 13 Ketchikan
A morning arrival into Ketchikan. Built out over the water and climbing weathered stairways, Ketchikan stretches along a narrow shelf of shoreline beneath the slope of Deer Mountain. The main attractions of this unique town are Creek Street, the Tongass Historical Museum, Totem Bight State Park and Saxman Village.

Day 14 Inside Passage
We travel southwards back through the Inside Passage on your last day. Grab more opportunities of wildlife sightings and your last moments of indulgence onboard your luxury vessel.

Day 15 Vancouver
We arrive back into Vancouver this morning and disembark. Our coach awaits to take us on an orientation tour so you can familiarise yourself with this cosmopolitan city. We return to the Renaissance Harbourside for a two-night stay.

Day 16 Vancouver
Today you are free to explore this coastal city on your own or you may wish to visit Grouse Mountain and Capilano Suspension Bridge, the world’s longest and highest suspended footbridge and home to the new Cliffhanger, a cliffside journey taking you through rainforest vegetation on a series of unobtrusive cantilevered and suspended walkways jutting out from the granite cliff face above Capilano River.

Day 17 Vancouver – London
Time this morning for some last minute souvenir shopping or sightseeing before our transfer to Vancouver Airport for your direct Air Canada flight to London Heathrow.

Day 18 London
On arrival at London Heathrow Airport our staff will greet and transfer you to Titan transport for your journey to your front door.
